FGB -455G>A RealFast® Assay

The FGB -455G>A RealFast™ Assay kit provides a fast and accurate real-time PCR detection of the G>A transition at nucleotide position
-455. This is in the promoter region of the human Fibrinogen beta-chain (FGB) gene. This gene has instructions for creating proteins called fibrinogen B beta (Bβ) chain. This is one component of fibrinogen protein. Mutations in this gene have been associated with elevated plasma fibrinogen, which is considered to be a risk factor for vascular disease independantly.
