iSWAB™ – Microbiome Kit

The iSWAB™ – Microbiome kit has been validated by the CDC for collection of Coronavirus (2019-nCOV) samples. Samples collected in this way inactivate the and do not require cold chain shipment as the RNA is stable at room temperature for up to 21 days.

The purpose of the kit is to inactivate potentially harmful pathogens. This increases the safety of transporting samples containing the bacteria, virus, or fungi, which is especially valuable over long transits between site-of-collection and the laboratory.
