High PapillomaStrip kit is based on the principle of reverse hybridization and allows for the detection and identification of 19 medium-high risk genital HPVs in DNA samples from cervico-uterine smears or biopsies.
Specific primers for E6-E7 regions for each of the 37 HPVs detected with the kit are used to perform the multiplex PCR. Since the expression of the E6-E7 genes is directly associated with carcinogenesis, detection of these targets may provide significant biological and pathological information.
PapillomaStrip-High Risk Product Insert
- Kits are based on reverse-hybridization of PCR products.
- All PCR reagents are included in the kit: Taq polymerase, primers and Master Mix.
- Several kinds of methods have been validated for DNA extraction: salting-out, silica columns, commercial kits (automated extraction), etc.
- Strips show high risk HPV subtypes by enzymatic color reaction visible to the naked eye.
- Minimal equipment required (thermal cycler).
- Automated protocols available for Auto-LiPA / Profiblot and AUTOBLOT instruments.
